DIY Peter Pan collar

Make this! Seriously, it's so easy, why would you not! Not to mention very cute and very chic. Can anybody say Louis Vuitton? Thank you to Honestly WTF for bringing this DIY project into my life and helping to distract me from actually doing all of the boring stuff that i should be doing. Lovee!

You will need:

Two scalloped edged pieces cut from white felt or rubber flannel (template here)
A single hole punch
One yard of white ribbon
A needle and thread
Hot glue gun
Button

1.Using the pattern template, cut out the two collar pieces. Create small holes between each scallop, using the hole punch.

2.Overlap the two wider end pieces and push a button through the last two aligning holes. Sew the button in place from the backside.

3.Cut the ribbon into two half-yard lengths. Thread the ribbon through the last hole on the tapered end, place a drop of glue at the tip, and fold it closed.

4. Wrap the collar around your neck and tie it into a bow.

Free gift tags by Eat Drink Chic

Somehow I've only JUST discovered the amazing blog Eat Drink Chic. I seriously feel like I've been missing out BIG TIME. Thankfully, I stumbled across it today while in search of images of homemade jam in jars (more on that in a later post!).

Basically, Amy Ross is a Melbourne based graphic artist turned professional blogger, who styles events and makes cute little cards, gift tags, labels etc. for her readers to use free of charge. If you've never visited her blog I recommend it strongly. The stuff she does is actually just mind-blowingly amazing. Seriously, she is just one crafty lady!

I love these cute little gift tags that she designed. I suppose they could be used for any occasion really, and the best thing is they're free! Click here to download the gift tags. All you have to do is choose your paper/ card and print them! Easy peasy. I'm thinking I might print them on thin brown card to make them a bit 'craftier'. Hmmm... Sooo cool!
Happy weekend everybody!
