NZFW: Huffer Show Finale

Huffer turned the runway into a party at the end of their show lastnight! How cool is that! Here's a short clip of the magic. (Sorry, the quality isn't too flash!).

NZFW: Backstage at Zambesi lastnight

Katherine Lowe probably takes the coolest photos in the world. I love the way the light is in these photo's from backstage at Zambesi lastnight. Love, love, loveeee.

NZFW: Lastnight at Zambesi

So the Zambesi show was actually yesterday early evening before Huffer, however for some reason there were no photos of it online for AGES afterwards. Finally, all the photos are up and I've had a good look at the collection. It's always hard to comment on collections from such iconic brands such as Zambesi because you almost feel like saying anything bad about it is sacrilege, and if you do a group of New Zealand's fashion elite will come chasing after you with pitchforks... weird image! ha ha. Luckily though, I have nothing bad to say about the collection that walked down the catwalk at Zambesi lastnight - and I'm not just saying that to avoid being chased by pitchfork yielding fashionistas!

The collection was typically Zambesi, being made up of mainly black, beautifully tailored, classic pieces. However, the new kid on the block was the high-lighter yellow and electric blue that appeared. Even a black loving fiend like myself has to admit that the bolds were refreshing and really pushed this collection up to the next level of awesomeness. The one thing that did catch my eye though was what looked like a leather laptop case in the fifth photo... possibly a new home from my Mac Book baby? Very, very rad!

NZFW: Day Four - New Generation Group Show

The New Generation Group Show took place this afternoon. The thing about a group show is that some collections are always going to be stronger than others, and you can't help but compare the collections. This year, five young labels showed: Two Wonders, Deryn Schmit, Egoist, Katie- Maree Cole and Emma Manhart. Overall I really like most of what was walked down the catwalk this afternoon. My favourites would have to be Deryn Schmit and two wonders. Although all of the young designers did really well, I felt that their collections just had something extra. It's exciting to see new talent emerging in our wee industry!

NZFW: Day Four - Backstage with The A List

Doesn't backstage look like a fun and exciting place... The A List captures the magic beautifully. I'm looking at pictures of some of today's shows currently but due to a slow internet connection at work (shh don't tell anybody!), I'll have to wait until I get home to review them properly. See you soon!
