Ambit SS 11/12

There's something about this collection that just makes me so, so happy! It could be the beautiful simplistic style, or possibly those amazing grey shorts! Whatever it is, I just love it. I only wish that there was more to this collection from the young New York based label. For more of Ambit see here. I have a feeling we will be seeing more goodness from this young label in the near future.

Louis Vuitton SS 2012

I stumbled across these images of LV SS on The Sartorialist and absolutely fell in LOVE! The only thing better than pretty, girly pastels is pretty, girl pastels on a carousal! I honestly wish more designers showed their collections in fun and interesting ways like this. But I suppose the team at Louis Vuitton probably do have a wee bit more cash to throw around than your average. I'm absolutely loving the interesting textured collars - and the shoes... ohh the shoessssss!

Jesse Kamm SS 12 - Sail

I probably should have warned you at the start that there were going to be a lot of pictures in this post... oops. Oh well, now I've tricked you into having a proper look instead of just skimming over them. But seriously, I'm pretty sure you must be thinking that it was worth looking at them all right now, because this collection is super amazing!

The inspiration behind it is pretty self explanatory - as the title of the collection states, these are clothes inspired by sailing. I very much like how casual this collection is, and how most pieces in the collection have been designed to not need any fussy accessories, shoes, massive fur coats etc. etc. These are pieces that can be thrown on without much thought, however the wearer will manage to still look completely amazing and chic. These are my kind of clothes!

Shao Yen: A/W 2011-12

Is it just me, or is Shao Yen's latest collection mind-blowingly amazing? The first two looks are my absolute favourites. I love how Shao Yen uses the strangest materials, but turns them into the most amazing avant-garde garments.

Even if not all of them are exactly wearable... they're still amazing. ha ha. If you you've never heard of him, you must check out his website. Shao Yen is only just starting out, but his stuff is worthy of some serious attention!

Karen Walker: North

Karen Walker has done it again with her S/S 2011 collection entitled 'North'. I find this collection so awkwardly charming! I love the unique prints that are used in this collection - they're so fun and original; A welcomed break from the seemingly basic palettes that have ruled the runway recently.

This collection follows the typical KW format, being made up of beautifully made pieces that are so far from typical fashion that they become effortlessly cool. The thing I love most about Karen Walker's collections is that they are truly unlike anything else around. There's something so unique about what Karen Walker does and I really can't get enough of it!

I'm definitely going to start saving my pennies now so that I can be the first to get these pieces when they hit boutiques around the world.

Monday's must have: Willowy dress by Moochi

One of the main things I think about whenever buying a piece, is how versatile it will be. I hate buying things that will only ever be able to be worn in one way because I know I will get bored with the piece really fast. So when I discovered the 'Willowy dress' by Moochi I was pretty excited.

This super-cute dress caught my eye for the fact that it's casual enough to wear during the day with flats, but at the same time the chiffon makes it suitable to wear at night with opaque tights and your favourite heels. It comes in the three cute colours pictured above, and in two lengths (mini and maxi). My pick would be the navy blue mini version, but i would definitely not say no to any of the other variations of the Willowy dress.
