Summer, I love you

Q: Is it weird that I'm posting pictures of somebody else's BBQ in an attempt to pretend I am currently in a place that experiences any kind of summer?
A: Probably, but I don't careeeee, because these images make me so excited for my summer in Australia that it's not even funny. (These beautiful images are stolen from one of my favourite Aussie bloggers by the way).

In less than one month I will be on a plane to the Melbourne for Christmas with my family. Following that I will be traveling the great ocean toad with my mum and sister, and then off to Sydney for three months of sunshine! And then, just when summer starts to go bye bye, I will be heading to North America just in time for spring!

I cannot imagine how depressing it is going to be to come back to Wellington in June to rain and University and freezing temperatures and zero money. I will just have to try to not think that far ahead!

GAHHH, EXCITEDDDD!

Stars and stripes

I think a pair of these would be very appropriate for my travels to the US of A. Not to mention the fact that they are very, very cool.

I hate saving... grr

Q: How much do i want this dress (in both patterns!).
A: So, sooo much.

There's only one bad thing about planning a trip overseas - having to save every possible dollar! And considering I'm on the verge of possibly not being able to afford to go for as long as I would have liked, money cannot be spent on beautiful Moochi dresses! Please somebody buy this dress (in both patterns!) so I can live vicariously through you. Thank you.

Last friday night

On Friday it was my friend Meg's birthday. We all got dressed up and went to the fanciest restaurant in town, which was lots of fun (minus the insanely small portions!). Afterwards we hit up our local karaoke bar which was absolutely off the chainnnnnn. I'm not much of a drinker or a clubbing sort of gal, but one thing I do love is social karaoke.

Excuse the terrible point-and-shoot photography but I did very much like what myself and all of my lovely lady friends were wearing that night, hence this post. The pink silk, Madame Hawke, dress I'm wearing hasn't seen much daylight since I purchased it in January so it was nice to get it out and about. Might have to start wearing it more!
Geez, i ramble!

Selena Gomez does high fashion

When I came across this beautiful image I had a hard time believing that it was the same baby-faced Selena Gomez that we have all come to know and errr... love? When i think of Selena I think Disney Channel, not high fahshion. But here it is, and woweee does she look stunning. Lets hope we will be seeing more of this classy, high fashion version of Selena in the near future!

Statement earrings

In case you haven't heard, statement earrings are making a comeback this summer and I am liking it very, very much! Seriously, it's times like these I wish that I had my ears pierced. Yes that's right, I don't have my ears pierced. Weird, huh?

Maybe I should think about getting them done sometime soon so i can make the most of this exciting new trend! Hmm, I may have to look into this. Either that or I will just get clip-ons. Actually, I think my Grandma has some that I can borrow! Score!

Elephant pancakes

There's only one thing I like more than pancakes - that is pancakes shaped like animals! I'm crazy for these cute elephant shaped pancakes right now. I have no idea how the heck they are made, but I am definitely going to try my luck at making them sometime soon! So cute!

Photo Shoot pt.1

These bad boys are the first few photos from the shoot the I styled a few weeks ago with the very talented Ann Li, and the beautiful Rosie Stantiall.

I'm so excited about how well they have come out! It all turned out so well considering we shot these on probably the windiest day in the history of the world! More pictures to come soon!

Nom nom nommmm

Have you ever seem anything more delicious looking? Seriously, these pictures alone are enough to inspire me to switch from fashion styling to food styling. I probably don't have the patience for food styling though to be honest... But, oh how I wish I did! So pretty and yummy looking!

Rubi Shoes

I think it's safe to say that Rubi Shoes is the definition of cheap and cheerful! All three pairs for under $100? What the heck! Too good to be true, I swear. Rubi Shoes have definitely upped their game this season. Rubi is definitely going to be my favourite new destination for cheapie shoes this summer - starting with the pair in the first image!

Kitty Cushions

I stumbled across these cushions on one of my favourite blogs Eat Drink Chic. If you know anything about me, you will know that I am a self confessed crazy cat lady, so these cute cushions seriously have me in fits of excitement. So cute! Meow.

Coats

Soo I know it's spring and all, but to be honest it's still FREEZING in Wellington so a good coat would actually come in handy right now! I'm absolutely in love with all of these bright and beautiful babies. I have to resist buying one though unfortunately because if I did, I would want to wear it all summer and probably die of heat stroke after refusing to take it off. I never thought I'd say this but, hurry up winter!

Ruby Garage Sale

If you're in Auckland this Saturday I URGE you to attend this bad boy. No doubt there will be some fantastic bits and bobs for Ruby lovers to get their grubby little mitts on.

Once again, I will not be attending due to the fact that I live in the capital city which is approximately ten hours drive from Auckland. GRRRRR! Seriously, Wellington is the capital city, at least give us a few end of season sales once in awhile! Oh well, when you head along on Saturday and buy amazing stuff, think of me and how miserable I will be at work... yes that's right! I have to work on Saturday. Luckyyyy meeeee.
